I love this photo, I think the woman in the middle resembles the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz, maybe in her younger days!  I have several old photos, including this one, available here .

I'm trying to decide if these look like Christmas bells or not. That's the first impression I got.  I believe they are glass, they are frosted with a light pink tint.  They have a "tinkling bell" sound when they tap each other.  I haven't been able to find any information on them, they are very light and delicate. They are available here if you are interested.

I just love the color and detail of this child's dish made by The Salem China Company for the International Silver Co.  A sweet little girl feeding her bear while her little sister looks on.  On each side of the dish are rests for the fork and spoon.  The Salem China Company was founded in 1898 in Ohio. Through the early 1900's until 1960, the company produced dinnerware as well as novelty items, souvenirs, flatware and crystal. During 1960, the company changed to distribution only. In 1981, the Salem China Company was out of business. The company made china and pottery for supermarkets, department stores and discount stores, and it was marketed under many different names.  This dish is available here .

It's an old German license plate for export.  I found it in an Antique shop and just couldn't resist.  Perfect purchase or gift for the Elvis fan!  You can find it here .

I found this "Silver Nightcap" at a local estate sale.  I'm afraid I have no idea what it might be.  The internet is a wonderful place to find information, but sometimes you just don't know what words to use in researching.  It's about three inches tall and two inches at the widest on the bottom, I see no silver marks on it.  I shall keep searching.........

  I found this at a sale recently, of course I had to buy it.  But, I have no idea what it is -it is made by the Pro-phy-lac-tic Brush Company.  They were established in 1866 in the health care business.  They made toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and later toilet sets -combs, brushes, hand mirrors, powder boxes, and more.  In 1940 they began to use the name Jewelite on their products.  This piece has Jewelite 509 USA on the bottom, but I haven't been able to find any information on what it might be.  The plastic insert does slide out, and there is some room in the slot where you could possibly fit two of them -some type of picture frame?  Any ideas, please let me know.

I was reminiscing this morning about when the boys were younger.  We have been living on this property for 21 years now.  The first ten years seemed to go by much slower than these last ten have.  My youngest will be 21 next month, time is flying by.  But, I was thinking about when they played sports, my oldest played baseball, the youngest soccer.  When Tom was playing baseball, during a game, he just would not swing at the ball.  I knew he could hit good, because we practiced at home.  He would get up to bat and look at the coach.  I finally asked him, why do you keep looking at the coach?  He said, to see if he gives me a signal.  I asked, does he ever give you a signal, no, was the reply.  So... I took matters into my own hands, I offered him $10.00 for every ball he would hit during a game.  Of course, his first time up, he hit the ball -Tom liked money.  (He was willing to wash dishes every night for $5.00 a week....

Thanks to the wonder of the internet, after looking at many pages of poppies, I discovered my pitcher and biscuit jar are Royal Bayreuth.  They have made many beautiful items with the poppy design, dishes, cups and more.  At the same sale I found this great top hat, unfortunately I couldn't find anyone to model it for me  -men!  It is available here .
